Typically a lively March event, this year’s Gala was initially postponed to September with the hopes that large gatherings would once more become a part of our regular lives.
As the weeks pass by, however, we now have a better understanding of the anticipated timeline for COVID-19’s full impact. With this in mind, we find it unlikely that a 500+ person event can proceed with the necessary precautions by September.
For that reason, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this year’s Gala and focus our energy on our 250th Anniversary in 2021.
We know this comes as a disappointing decision for many, and we’d like to thank each and every one of you for supporting the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick through it all. Together, we’ve been able to accomplish so much despite these setbacks.
Refunds and Alternative Options
To request a full refund or to apply your tickets/sponsorships or to the 2021 Gala, please reply to this email by July 15th.
Alternatively, we ask you to please also consider your ticket sale or sponsorship as a 100% tax deductible donation towards the Society’s Annual Appeal. For those wishing to pursue this option, no response is needed.
