The work of the Society of the Friendly Sons & Daughters is conducted by the following committees:
Benevolence & Scholarship Committee
The Benevolence committee reviews, evaluates and makes recommendations on requests for charitable contributions sought from the Society.
Dinner Committee
The Dinner committee plans the Society’s social events, from general meetings to the Annual Gala.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee seeks to actively raise funds in support of the Society’s Charitable Mission. Fundraising is conducted through an Annual Appeal for donations, sponsorships and funds raised at our various events such as the Gala Dinner.
Membership
Be an ambassador for the Society! Help welcome new members, strengthen connections among existing members, and grow our vibrant community of Irish heritage and fellowship.
Military and First Responders
Honor and support those who serve and protect our communities through recognition, outreach, and initiatives that celebrate their dedication and sacrifice.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Help bring our Irish pride to the streets of Philadelphia! Support the Society’s participation in this cherished annual tradition, celebrating our heritage and bringing members together in the spirit of St. Patrick.
