Villanova University Scholarship Fund
The Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Endowed Fund for Experiential Education in Ireland, in memory of Stephen P. Stanton.
Established on January 14, 2016, The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick fully funded our first $100,000 Endowed Scholarship Fund through Villanova University. The Society and Villanova University then added another $70,000 to this endowment in 2017. The Fund is set up to last in perpetuity and is administered by Villanova University Irish Studies Department.

Camphill School Fund
Established in January 2017, The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick through a member grant of $100,000 created an Endowed Scholarship Established for the Support of the Camphill Special School’s Children in Need. The society then added another $38,000 to this endowment in 2018/19. The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to students in need enrolled at the Camphill School.

Gwynedd Mercy University Scholarship Fund
We are pleased to announce that The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, on June 8, 2016, have fully funded a $100,000 Endowed Scholarship Fund through Gwynedd Mercy University, to be known as The Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Endowed Scholarship Fund In Honor Of The Sisters Of Mercy for students to study in Ireland.
The Fund is set up to last in perpetuity and is administered by Gwynedd Mercy University. The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial support to students enrolled at Gwynedd Mercy University who participate in study abroad or other related University travel programs to Ireland.

Saint Joseph’s University Scholarship Fund
The Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick have generously donated monies to Saint Joseph’s University to aid in the support of an SJU undergraduate student(s) who is accepted by SJU and the overseas university to study abroad in Ireland for a semester or year academic program. Starting with a value of $70,000 in 2016, The Society has added another $50,000 to this endowment in 2017/19. Students must apply by prior to the academic year during which they plan to study abroad by the deadline indicated by CIP. Scholarships are awarded on a need and merit basis.

Neumann University Scholarship Fund
We are pleased to announce that The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, in January 2017, have fully funded a $25,000 Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick Endowed Scholarship Fund. The society then added another $40,000 to this endowment in 2018. The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to students enrolled at Neumann University who participate in study abroad or other related University travel programs to Ireland.

Immaculata University Scholarship Fund
The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, in January 2016, starting with a member match grant have fully funded a $25,000 Endowed Scholarship Fund in Memory of the Irish Souls of Duffy’s Cut. The society then added another $12,000 to this endowment in 2017/18. The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to students enrolled at Immaculata University who participate in study abroad or other related University travel programs to Ireland.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled at Immaculata University who participate in travel to Ireland related to academic or service programs.

Cabrini University Scholarship Fund
The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, in January 2016, starting with a member match grant have fully funded a $25,000 Endowed Scholarship Fund in Memory of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini – Patron Of Immigrants. The society then added another $12,000 to this endowment in 2017/18. The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to students enrolled at Cabrini College who participate in study abroad or other related University travel programs to Ireland.

Rosemont College Scholarship Fund
The Society of Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick for the Relief of Emigrants from Ireland made a $25,000 gift to Rosemont College in February 2017 to establish and endow a Scholarship Fund for all full-time Rosemont undergraduate students from the Delaware Valley. The society then added another $12,000 to this endowment in 2017/18. The Scholarship, known as The Society of Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick for the Relief of Emigrants from Ireland Scholarship Fund, will support travel to Ireland for academic or service programs. The first award(s) from the Endowed Fund will be made in the spring of 2018.
Joseph Heenan, Past President of the Society of Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, joined President Sharon Hirsh on campus for the signing of the Scholarship Fund Agreement on February 17, 2017. On behalf of the entire Rosemont College community, President Hirsh expressed the College’s gratitude for the generosity of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick and their support of Rosemont College.

Arcadia University Scholarship Fund
We are pleased to announce that The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, in January 2018, have fully funded a $25,000 Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick for the Relief of Emigrants from Ireland Endowed Scholarship Fund. The society then added another $5,000 to this endowment in 2018. The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to students from the Delaware Valley enrolled at Arcadia University who participate in study abroad or other related University travel programs to Ireland.

Gaelic Athletic Association Fund
The Society is pleased to announce that a $25,000 Managed Account has been created to benefit the Gaelic Athletic Association in Philadelphia. The fund will be managed by the Society, with yearly earned dividends and interest supporting the GAA for assistance with their youth program fees. Our organization is supportive of the goal of the GAA and wish to encourage their programs in the Greater Philadelphia region.
